Have you ever had a feeling where you're really focusing on a specific task, You are constantly working then next thing you know you have been working for serval hours. This is the phenomenon called the flow state, the flow state does not experience working but it can be experienced in physical activity, Gaming, reading, studying Ect. Many gamers experience the flow state when the player is having fun. The flow state in gaming occurs when the player is doing a sort of task and the player is on the perfect skill level to complete the task. Game developers want us the gamers to be in a state of flow when playing these games because we play for serval hours without realizing it. For me, a fun game is when a game has a certain amount of challenges but it's not too easy or too hard personally, I like to see myself get better I, think that we all do so, I think that seeing growth is an essential part of the flow and of course having fun.
I think that the developers have archived flow with the gameplay because the game fortnight is always getting new players who are constantly improving so the difficulty is increasing and if everyone is getting better you are kind of forced to also get better at the game and if you play for more time and develop your skills you achieve the state of flow. In the chart below, I show how the game Fortnight helps you as the player achieve flow You start in the lobby here is where you select the game mode in this example I chose to play duos with a friend, After you get into the game, you are put in a pre-game match where you can not die When the game officially starts you are put on the battle bus this is usually, where you are looking for where to land, once you land you want to look for loot which is necessary to fight other enemies, once you gather the loot you are put in the situation of awareness which is a part of the flow. Running away from the storm raises some adrenalin fight enemies is when I personally get into the state of flow because my hand is practically moving on its own it's like a sensation of emptiness time flies, and next thing you know I am getting closer to winning the match. The thing is that fighting enemies can vary divers when it comes to the flow state because keep in mind that every play's skill level is different. once you win the match you get a great side of relief especially when you get the first win of the season because, if you win a game in Fortnight you get a victory umbrella which I display on the very end.

In the game industry, there are a lot of pathways that someone can take, from Game designers to game programmers. I want to work with AFX or animation, AFX working with special effects this can be from gunshots to CGI characters and working with practical effects like actually sing explosion's in a scene. Another thing that I learned during this unit was about Game effects like the PGI rating and the IARC rating these means the rating of the game and the age that is recommended to play here in the united states the moats common PGI rating is the IARC rating like rated E or rated T. There are also other types of rating like the ESRB measures the violence in video games. These ratings are important because it lets know the consumer what types of things are in a game and if it's appropriate for the consumer.
